The artwork is adapted from “Hallowe’en,” a circa-1910 postcard from the Missouri History Museum collection, featuring a witch riding a broomstick alongside a black cat, jack-o’-lantern, and crescent moon. More than a century later, the original image still has exactly the right amount of chaos.
